Kenmore Happenings 10/15/17 – 10/21/17

Choir Practice today after the service at noon.

 

The Merry Muppets (Puppets) rehearse Oct. 22th at 10 am.

Anyone 3rd grade to senior adult is welcome to participate. Speak with Karen Meissner if you have further questions. The rehearsal schedule is on the back table.

 

Men’s Breakfast, Saturday , Oct. 21, 8:30am-10:00am. All men are invited to attend. Pastor Mark will be sharing with us and a few other men will be sharing their testimonies.

 

We provide meals for our youth group on Tuesday nights.

If you would be willing to make a meal for the group on a

Tuesday night, please sign up on the sheet in back of the

church. The group averages about 12-15 people.

 

The Converge NW Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference is Thursday, October 19th from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at Crossroads Bible Church in Bellevue. The registration fee is $45. If you are interested in attending, speak with Pastor Mark.

Free Community Dinner

Join us Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 6 pm for our next free community dinner.  We hold the dinner on the last Tuesday night of each month.

Vacation Bible School July 16-20, 2017 5:30 pm to 8:15 pm

Join us July 16-20, 2017 from 5:30 pm to 8:15 pm for Vacation Bible School.  The theme this year is “Maker Fun Factory: Created by God, Built for a Purpose.”  VBS is for children 4 years old through 5th grade.  There will be singing, puppets, Bible stories, games, sciency gizmos, and a light dinner.  You can register online at  https://vbspro.events/p/events/kenmorecc  or call the church office at 425-486-7487.

Free Community Dinner

We will be having another free Community Dinner on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 6:00 pm in our Fellowship Hall. Invite your family and friends to join us.  If you would like to help with setting up for the dinner, come at 5:00 pm.   Anne Schukar will be preparing another delicious meal.

Vacation Bible School 5:30 pm to 8:15 pm July 12th – 16th

The theme for this year’s Vacation Bible School is “Everest: Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power.”  It will start on Sunday night July 12th and end on Thursday night July 16th. Each evening we will meet from 5:30 pm to 8:15 pm.  A light supper will be served.  Thursday night is family night when parents and siblings are invited to attend with their child(ren). Children will be learning five Bible points during the week which will be taught through Bible stories, Games, Puppetry, Music, and sciencey gizmos.  The Bible points are: God has the power to provide, God has the power to comfort, God has the power to heal, God has the power to forgive, and God has the power to love us forever.  Parents can preregister their children by calling the church office at 425-486-7487.  Come early on the first evening to complete the registration form.

Good Friday Drama 7:30 pm

We will be presenting a Good Friday Drama on April 3, 2015 at 7:30 pm.  The drama is called “Twelve” and recounts the thoughts and emotions of the twelve disciples between Christ’s death and resurrection.  The Lord’s Supper will be served at the service.  Invite your family and friends to attend with you.  Refreshments will be served after the service.

“Bagels and Blankets” January 17th 9:30 am

Our women’s group will be getting together on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm for a light brunch and to make blankets for the Care Net Pregnancy Center in Kenmore.  The suggested donation per person is $5 to help with the cost supplies.  Invite your friends to join with you for this event.  Contact Karen Meissner  if you have additional questions.

Christmas Eve Service 6 pm

On Wednesday, December 24, 2014 we will have our Christmas Eve Service at 6 pm.  Join us as we sing carols, enjoy some special music, listen to an encouraging message from Pastor Mark, sing the 12 Days of Christmas with audience participation, and end the service by candlelight.

“Sing a Song of Christmas” Program 6:15 pm

On Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 6:15 pm we will be having our Christmas Program.  This year it is called “Sing A Song of Christmas.”  The adult choir and children’s choirs will be singing, the muppets will be performing, and there will be a few other special musical numbers.  Come and join us and invite your friends as we celebrate the reason for the season, the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Refreshments will be served after the program.

Thanksgiving Eve Service at Haller Lake Baptist Church 7 pm

We will be joining with some of our sister churches for a Thanksgiving Eve Service at Haller Lake Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 7 pm.  The address of the church is 14054 Wallingford Ave N. Seattle, WA 98133.  We will be taking a special offering for the Union Gospel Mission that night.  If you would like to carpool from Kenmore Community Church, please contact the church office at 425-486-7487.
