Philippians 4:4-8, 4Rejoice in the LORD always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The LORD is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.
- Praise God that He is sovereign and in control of all things. Praise Him for His infinite wisdom. Praise Him for His perfect love. Praise Him for His unlimited power. Praise Him as “I Am” (the God who exists eternally, independently, and unchanging). Praise Him for His holiness, compassion, grace, mercy, justice, forgiveness, faithfulness, patience, healing power, and personal concern for each one of us. Praise Him for His promises. Praise Him as the creator of the universe and our creator. Praise Him for the New Covenant and that our salvation is by grace through faith and not based on our own works. Praise Him for exchanging our sin for the righteousness of Christ.
- Pray for all those affected by the Covid 19 virus. Pray for healing for those who are sick. Pray for God’s comfort for those who have lost loved ones. Pray for the first responders, doctors, and nurses who are providing care for those who have contracted the virus. Pray for children who are out of school and their parents who are having to find child care. Pray for the businesses, non-profits, and churches who are being impacted by the restrictions on public gatherings. Pray that people would turn to God and put their faith and trust in Christ and find the peace that only He can provide.
- Pray for Gwen B. who is Maribeth W’s sister. Pray for her recovery from breast cancer surgery last week. Pray also for Maribeth’s brother Steve who is on hospice care.
- Pray that we would love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Pray that we would love our neighbors as ourselves. Pray that we would hunger and thirst for righteousness. Pray that we would spend time daily reading God’s Word and in prayer. Pray that we would leave the fingerprints of the kingdom of God upon the people we interact with each day. Pray that we would become more and more like Jesus. Pray that we would be filled with the Spirit and become more like Jesus every day in our thoughts, attitudes, and actions.
- Kim S. Would like prayer for the Lord to bring her a new tenant. Please continue to pray for Holli to find the Lord.
- Karen D. would like continued prayer for her nephew Dan. Dan is in the hospital battling a sepsis infection.
- Cindy B. would like prayer for her dad, Hank, who just had knee surgery and is having a very hard time with extreme pain.
- Irma C. would like prayer for her daughter Heidi. She has cancer in her right eye. Needs healing, she begins radiation treatments next week.
- Pray for the Mamula family who experienced a garage fire on Sunday, March 8th. Pray for the insurance and restoration process to go smoothly. Pray that Bryan’s business will not suffer. Praise God no one was hurt by the fire.
- Michael Long recently passed away. Pray for Michael’s family as they grieve his death.
- Matt I. would like prayer for lifelong, steadfast commitment to the Lord, to have his ears open to the Word of the Lord. To do it with joy and enthusiasm, to stay focused on the Lord.
- Pray for Dusty Riemersma as he leads our youth ministry. Pray for the spiritual growth of the youth group and that more students could be reached. Pray for Dusty as he seeks to establish a skype or zoom meeting weekly with the youth group over the next few weeks.
- Pray for all our missionaries: the Wilkinson’s in the Philippines, the Tillman’s in the Philippines, the Beck’s in Austria, the Green’s in South America, Ian Smith in Japan, The Millar’s (visiting churches and wrapping up over 30 years of full time missionary service), and Joshua Vijayakumar in India.
- Pray for the local and national ministries we support: Converge Northwest (Nate & Amy Hettinga), Converge (Scott and Lisa Ridout), Care Net Pregnancy Center in Kenmore, Lake Retreat & Adelphia Discipleship School, Camp Big Horn, the Union Gospel Mission, and the Gideons (Bible distribution blitz coming up in the next few months)
- The worship service Pastor Mark and Dusty perform at Kenmore Senior Living on Mondays has been suspended until the Coronavirus outbreak is under control. Pray for the believers at Kenmore Senior Living to be an encouragement to their neighbors.
- Pray that we would see a minimum of 10 new believers and baptisms at KCC this year.
- Pray for David S., Mary Beth Rogers’ brother. Pray for God’s healing of infection in the bones in his foot. His long term disability has been approved. He will have foot reconstruction surgery soon and he will have a six to twelve month recovery period.
- Pray for our sister church, Adventure Church in Duvall. Their 100 year old sanctuary was destroyed by fire this morning. Pray for the congregation as they figure out where to meet in the short term.
- Pray that we will seek and find was be a blessing to our neighbors and community during this anxious and unsettling time. (If you have ideas to share regarding ways you have been blessing your neighbors and community share them with us)
